Mountain biking is permitted on all designated roads of each of the parks. Some single track trails are also designated as bike friendly.
Bicycles are allowed on the 5 mile stretch of the South Yuba River trail between Edwards Crossing and Purdon Crossing which traverses State Park property, Bureau of Land Management property and private easements. Parts of this trail are wide and flat, while other parts are technical and challenging.
Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park allows bikes on certain trails (Church Trail, Missouri Bar Trail, Rim Trail, Slaughterhouse Trail, North Bloomfield Town Trail).
South Yuba River Trail (located outside park boundaries)
Runs from the town of Washington to Purdon Crossing. May be accessed from the Missouri Bar Trail, the Humbug Trail, and several trailheads along Relief Hill Road and North Bloomfield road. Open to bikes, dogs, horses, and hikers.
